Position Overview

Forward Global is seeking a strategic and well-connected Partner to help drive our next stage of growth as part of our government relations team . In this role, you will lead high-impact client engagements, drive business development, and provide expert counsel across public affairs, lobbying, and integrated communication. The ideal addition to our leadership team will arrive with board policy insights, an entrepreneurial mindset, a readiness to mentor a highperforming team, and a proven ability to build and manage client portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Client Leadership & Strategy

  • Act as a senior advisor to corporate, nonprofit, and trade association clients on public policy, regulatory affairs, government relations, and strategic communications.
  • Lead development of multichannel public affairs strategies, including lobbying, stakeholder engagement, media relations, and grassroots advocacy.
  • Leverage and cultivate highlevel relationships with clients, policymakers, regulators, and media.
  • Mentor and lead a team of consultants, strategists, and analysts across client accounts.
  • Collaborate with other Partners on firm strategy, talent development, and operational excellence.
  • Represent the firm at industry and policy events, enhancing brand visibility and influence.

Business Development

  • Drive growth by cultivating new business opportunities and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Lead proposal development and strategy presentations.
  • Maintain and grow a robust network of contacts in policy, government, media, and industry.

Candidate Profile

  • 12+ years of experience in public affairs, government relations, lobbying, or strategic communications.
  • Deep knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes at the federal, state, or local level.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally within a consultancy or firm environment.
  • Established relationships with policymakers, media, and industry stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication, persuasion, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelors degree in political science, communications, public policy, law, or a related field; Masters or JD preferred.
