Our client, a highly respected IP law firm, is looking for a patent attorney (partner track), patent agent, or technical specialist for their Chemical Practice.
Billable hours
IP Associate- 1,850
Patent Agent/Technical Specialist- 1,650
Schedule - Hybrid 3/2 in Alexandria, VA
Responsibilities:
· Patent preparation and prosecution
· Foreign portfolio management
· Patent licensing
· Conducting due diligence in IP transactions toward rendering opinions to clients
· Working closely with clients, inventors, and firm attorneys
Patent Attorney Qualifications:
· A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
· J.D. from an accredited law school
· Admitted to practice before the USPTO
· 3-7 years of patent prosecution experience
Patent Agent Qualifications:
· A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
· Admitted to practice before the USPTO
· 2+ years of experience in patent application drafting and/or prosecution in a law firm setting is required
Technical Specialist Qualifications:
· A degree in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, or chemical engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.S.) in the relevant field is a plus
· 2+ years of experience in patent application drafting and/or prosecution in a law firm setting is required
