Job Description

Overview:

The YMCA of Northern Colorado is looking for responsible and energetic individual and small group Personal Trainers. You will help to support your clients' safety and training goals while leading them in appropriate activities. As a YMCA staff member, you'll provide excellent service to members in a positive environment that promotes wellness and engagement.

 

Salary range $22-35 per hour based on experience/availability. We have 3 levels of qualifications with ascending pay ranges.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and instruct a variety of personal training and small group training sessions for members. Provide encouragement and expertise for the client in support of their health and well-being goals.
  • Administer, track and evaluate health history questionnaires, fitness assessments and other pre-participation documentation with regard to individual exercise programs.
  • Adhere to all guidelines and expectations which include but is not limited to providing safe sessions and responding to and reporting any accidents or incidents.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification such as the
    • American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
    • American Council on Exercise (ACE)
    • National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
    • National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
    • or other approved and accredited certifications.
  • Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/PR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and verbal communication skills.
