Job Description

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist at Portland, OR ! This is a 25-week contract offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role: Phlebotomist

Location: Portland, OR, 97210

Shift Details:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hours per Week: 40 hours
  • Shift Type: 8-hour days

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $17- $22/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipunctures using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Collect, label, centrifuge, and prepare blood, urine, and fecal specimens.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in matching requisition forms to specimen tubes .
  • Properly store specimens at the required temperature for integrity.
  • Provide clear and professional explanations of procedures to patients.
  • Package and transport specimens per protocol.
  • Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations ; attend annual training.
  • Answer phone inquiries and review laboratory results with patients .

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certifications:
  • Phlebotomy Certification (Valid in Oregon)
  • Experience:
  • Required: Minimum 6 months – 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
  • Preferred: 3-4 years experience due to the complexity of transplant patients.
  • Specialties : Experience working with transplant patients is a must.

Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
