American Leak Detection is the world leader in the accurate, non-destructive detection of all types of in home and swimming pool leaks. We use the most advanced, sophisticated electronic leak detection equipment.

American Leak Detection of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast is looking for a person to train in pool leak detection & repair. Prior experience with pool plumbing and repair is advantageous but not necessary. This position will provide leak detection and repairs for residential and commercial pools. Looking for a highly motivated person with a strong mechanical ability to perform electronic leak detection and plumbing related repairs. The person must be able to swim, lift 80-100 lbs on occasions, and have the capacity to work outdoors. Desirable skills include: service-oriented personality, good communication skills, the ability to write reports, able to use mechanical tools, basic computer skills with minimal supervision. Must have a clean criminal and driving record, with a minimum of a high school education. Initial training rate is $25 per hour. The training period is typically 3 to 6 months. During training, employee must have own reliable transportation. After the initial 3 months, the pay rate increases. Compensation increases dramatically once fully trained. The position is full-time Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work. Company vehicle & tools provided after training period.

Motor vehicle record and criminal background checks will be performed on all new hires. Driver's license is required.

Duties include:

• Going to residential, commercial, industrial and municipal locations to perform pool leak detection, and repair work.
• Leak detection on above ground and underground piping systems for residential & commercial swimming pools and spas.
• Complete pool related repairs.
• Travel to customer locations, interact with homeowners, pool service technician, as well as pool contractors.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Training provided to include mastering underground leak detection & repair.

Qualifications include:

• Relevant Work Experience: 3 Years (preferred, but not required)
• Familiarity with leak detection or plumbing, and pool repair helpful, but not mandatory
• Ability to swim and remain underwater for extended periods of time
• Valid Driver's License
• Good DMV report
• Must be capable of moving or lifting up to 80-100 pounds.
• Mechanical/electronics background is a plus.
• Experience using power tools.
• Basic computer operating skills a must
• Ability to work independently.
• Neat professional appearance.
• Good writing & verbal communication skills.
• Ability to endure physical labor (outdoors 90% of the time).
• Ability and willingness to work safely in all weather conditions and/or locales.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
