Opportunity for Growth-Minded P&C Underwriters | Alpharetta, GA | Hybrid

We're partnering with a highly respected, A+ rated insurance carrier that has been profitably serving niche markets for over 50 years. Known for cutting through red tape and empowering their underwriters with true decision-making authority, they are seeking a Primary General Liability Underwriter to join their Alpharetta, GA office.

This role is ideal for mid-to-senior-level underwriters (3-5+ years' experience) looking to take greater ownership of their underwriting craft. You'll manage complex risks in the Contractors, Habitational, Manufacturing, and Product Liability space and work closely with established wholesale broker relationships.

What You'll Do:

• Analyze, quote, bind, and manage new and renewal business with higher premium and risk exposure.
• Build and deepen relationships with agents, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Select and structure profitable risks with autonomy and support.
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and special projects in a collaborative, low-bureaucracy environment.

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of P&C underwriting experience (GL preferred); 5+ for more complex risk review.
• Strong technical underwriting, loss analysis, and risk evaluation skills.
• Effective communicator with a track record of broker engagement and market insight.
• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or related field preferred.
