Job Summary:

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of our telematics web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to ensure that our products meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience driving the development of enterprise applications, with a strong background in telematics and the transportation industry.

What you will do:

  • Product Vision and Strategy:
    • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for telematics web and mobile applications.
    • Participate in market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the transportation industry.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements and features.
  • Product Development:
    • Work closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into detailed user stories and technical specifications.
    • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with business goals and customer needs.
    • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and senior management.
    • Facilitate regular communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
    • Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the product.
  • User Experience and Design:
    • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
    • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine and enhance the user experience.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of telematics applications.
    • Analyze data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our products remain competitive.

 

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role, driving the development of enterprise applications.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Applications developer.
  • Strong understanding of telematics, fleet management, and the transportation industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing web and mobile applications.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Proficiency in product management tools such as ADO, JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with IoT and connected vehicle technologies.
    • Knowledge of data analytics and machine learning applications in telematics.
    • Certification in Product Management (e.g., CSPO, Pragmatic Institute).

 

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $130,000- $160,000

Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, and geographic location where the work is performed.
