Job Title: Production Assistant - Service Bureau
Job Description

We are looking for a Production Assistant in the Service Bureau department to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for printing labels for various grocery stores and handling shelf strips, posters, price tags, and more. This position offers the potential for career advancement and the opportunity to work with different machinery and cross-train in various areas.

Responsibilities

• Packaging small boxes of shelf strips and labels for distribution to different stores.
• Operating machines, including set-ups and change-overs for label and lamination machines.
• Cross-training as a distribution tech, which involves understanding numbers, picking, and packaging orders.
• Assisting press operators by catching materials, checking product quality, boxing, and palletizing.

• General production worker experience
• Packaging and general labor experience
• Machine operation skills
• Ability to perform assembly line tasks, inspection, banding, boxing, and production duties

• 6+ months of verified work experience
• Reliability and punctuality
• Willingness to learn new skills and advance in career
• Ability to pass background and drug screenings

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and climate-controlled. The production area is loud with a slight ink smell. Shifts vary with 15-20 people per shift. Must wear composite-toed or steel-toed shoes. Service Bureau shifts include: 1st shift: S, M, T from 6am-6pm, the person from noon-6pm; 2nd shift: S, M, T from 6pm-6am, the person from 6pm-midnight; 3rd shift: Th, F, S from 6am-6pm, the person from noon-6pm; 4th shift: Th, F, S from 6pm-6am, the person from midnight-6am. Rotary shifts include: 1st shift: M, T, the person 6am-6pm and 1/2 Thursday 6am-Noon; 2nd shift: MTthe person 6pm-6am and 1/2 Thursday Noon-6pm; 3rd shift: 1/2 Thursday 6am-Noon, F, S, S 6am-6pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Century, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
