Job Title: QA Coordinator

Summary

The QA Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all work performed meets customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. This role develops inspection and test plans, coordinates quality checkpoints, and works closely with production, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance. The QA Coordinator also maintains quality documentation, oversees welder qualifications, and supports ongoing audits for safety and quality programs.

\n Essential Duties and Responsibilities

\n
• Develop and maintain inspection and test plans in accordance with customer specifications.
  \n
\n
• Coordinate daily Quality Assurance checkpoints.
  \n
\n
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and customers regarding required inspections and testing.
  \n
\n
• Partner with the Safety Department to conduct Lock Out / Tag Out program audits on vessels.
  \n
\n
• Document and track all quality checkpoints within the QA program.
  \n
\n
• Create and distribute remaining work punch lists to production teams and subcontractors.
  \n
\n
• Maintain and control welder qualifications and material certifications for each project.
  \n
\n
• Maintain and control calibration logs for all tools used within the facility.
  \n
\n
• Perform roving inspections of ongoing work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer standards.

\n

\n Education and Experience

\n
• Associate degree or higher, with 5+ years of experience in a marine-based field.
  \n
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  \n
\n
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  \n
\n
• Knowledge of NDT standards (VT, MT, PT, UT, RT).
  \n
\n
• Basic understanding of welding procedures and documentation (WPS, PQR, MTRs).
  \n
\n
• Intermediate ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics (ship drawings, P&ID, piping diagrams).
  \n
\n
