Job Summary/Responsibilities This Co-Op is for the Winter 2025 term The Co-op Student will work at EVRAZ NA's Research and Development Centre located just North of Regina, Saskatchewan for a period of 4 or 8 months. As a member of the Research group, they will participate in product development projects, mill process optimization trials, and qualification testing and failure investigations. The successful applicant will use investigative techniques such as SEM/EDAX analysis, quantitative image analysis, sonic inspection, mechanical testing and metallographic analyses. The student will work as a team member and will participate in planning of trials, data collection and analysis. The position will provide exposure to all aspects of EVRAZ NA operations including steelmaking, casting, rolling, and pipe forming and welding. Skills/RequirementsAt EVRAZ North America, we manufacture engineered steel products for rail, energy and industrial end markets at six production sites located in the USA (Portland, Oregon; Pueblo, Colorado) and Canada (Regina, Saskatchewan; Calgary, Camrose and Red Deer, Alberta). We are the largest North American producer by volume in the rail and large diameter pipe markets, and we hold leading positions in the Western Canada oil country tubular goods, small diameter pipe and West Coast plate markets.
