Radiology Assistant – Full Time Position: Erlanger – Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. Job Summary Performs receptionist and a variety of clerical and/or clinical duties in support of Radiology and Imaging Departments. Responsibilities Performs a wide range of office clerical/receptionist functions including computer data entry, filing, record keeping, ordering and managing supplies, patient charges, and reception duties. This position requires flexibility to assist in multiple radiology departments. Responsibilities include scheduling, answering phone, order entry, pulling daily charts, assembling records/images/charts as needed, entering charges, and additional duties directed by the Radiology Manager. Responsible for maintaining work area and may participate in some clinical duties such as patient transport on occasion. Work is performed in a clinic setting with moderate sitting, stooping, bending, and frequent use of a computer screen. Education Required: High School education or its equivalent in education achievement, with ability to use personal computer and a variety of software products. Preferred: Medical terminology course desired. Experience Required: One year clerical experience, preferably within a healthcare setting. Experience must demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with others from within and outside the hospital, both in-person and over the telephone, effective and appropriate written communication skills, and the ability to relate to a broad range of individuals representing all socioeconomic levels.
