Job Description
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, performs routine patient care on patients of all age categories and assist Radiologist and technical staff with patient handling, patient appointment scheduling, answering telephones, ordering supplies, and processing exposed x-ray film utilizing automatic film processors.

- Upholds KPs Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws
- Performs duties as required by job functions on a day to day basis
- Greets patients; answers telephone; schedules patients for future appointments; instructs patients on the proper preparation for the exam, types patient ID cards, reorders supplies
- Processes exposed x-ray film utilizing automatic processors, reloads cassettes with unexposed film, restocks film bin with unexposed film; keeps darkroom clean
- Assist patients in undressing when necessary; helps patients on and off of the x-ray equipment utilizing safe lifting techniques
- Greets patients, explains examination and describe possible reactions according to established guidelines
- Answers telephone; coordinates transportation of patient from other department
- Pursues and maintains courteous, cooperative relations with the public, patient and other personnel
- Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed

- Typing skills & familiarity with general office equipment, including computers
