Position Overview: The Radiology Assistant supports the daily operations of the Radiology Department by assisting Imaging staff. This role ensures efficient workflow, excellent patient care, and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards. The Radiology Assistant performs patient transport, room preparation, equipment setup, and clerical duties under the supervision of licensed imaging professionals. Specifics:

Education Qualifications:

• Required: Graduate of High School or Equivalent
• Required: Completion or current enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Certification Qualifications:

• Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
• Required: If performing duties involving direct radiologic assistance, must hold a valid Illinois Student Radiographer Permit or IEMA-accredited Radiologic Technologist License, as applicable.

Experience Qualifications: Prior experience in a healthcare or hospital environment preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care procedures desirable.
