Our global Am Law 100 client's New York Real Estate Practice seeks a midlevel associate to join the practice.
The New York Real Estate Group has a wide-ranging practice and they take pride in the impact of their work in the city and state they call home. They represent governmental, quasi-governmental, and not for profit organizations, as well as private entities and individuals in a broad variety of complex transactions. Their practice includes land use, zoning, acquisitions/dispositions, leasing, lending, development, construction, not for profit corporations, joint ventures (LLCs and partnerships), and real estate private equity. On a daily basis, their team provides clients with the bespoke transactional solutions that bring complex real estate projects to life.
The ideal candidate is a team-oriented, creative thinker who values variety, growth, and the challenge that novel legal issues present. The successful candidate is eager to establish a long-term career with us and to increase their expertise across the full spectrum of transactional real estate work. Knowledge of title and survey is preferred, and work in the areas of land use and/or development is a plus. The qualified candidate has excellent oral and written communication skills, and an outstanding academic record. Experience in an AmLaw 100 firm or top-flight real estate boutique is strongly preferred.
Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the New York bar. Submissions must include law school transcripts and an original writing sample that contains legal analysis.
The salary range for associate positions is $225,000 to $275,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of job-related factors including, but not limited to, years of related experience, level of education, skills, credentials and certifications, responsibilities and performance. Employees in this position are eligible to receive an annual performance bonus.
