Overview

Summary
The Recycling Laborer is responsible for unloading, sorting, and packaging metals that contain iron and metals that do not contain iron. Additional duties include cleaning customer equipment and performing housekeeping tasks to maintain the overall facility and property.

Essential Functions

• Safely operate within assigned work areas
• Ensure quality control of packed and processed materials
• Serve as a material expert for assigned station
• Clean and maintain customer-assigned equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of facility and property

Work Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, high winds, and dusty or muddy areas. The role also involves exposure to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasionally extreme conditions. Noise levels may be loud at times.
