Position Summary
Under the direction of the Medical Director, Provider, Practice Manager/Supervisor and/or Service Line Director coordinates general office activities and performs direct clinical care in a courteous, caring, and respectful manner. Is the point person for questions or concerns as it relates to patient intake, testing, ordering, medical supplies and other clinical responsibilities. In this role, the nurse assumes responsibility for nursing care and outcomes for patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Ability to create, maintain and support a high functioning team; establish and foster cooperative working relationships with staff and management. Document accurately and effectively in EMR system according to licensure and VMG policies and procedures. Demonstrates behavior that is courteous, caring, respectful, and compassionate at all times. Demonstrates ability to listen and respond in a non-judgmental manner, with clear expectations. Demonstrates behavior that is consistent with the Valley Health System's Behavioral Standards, as well as the Valley Medical Group's Mission and Vision Statements. Ability to support company-wide efforts to improve and maintain a high level of patient/customer satisfaction as evidenced by (but not limited to) customer/patient satisfaction survey scores and other organizational and System's targets. Education BSN preferred, RN required. Current and unrestricted New Jersey RN license. Current American Heart Association BLS certification required. Specialty specific certification a plus. Experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred. Special SkillsWorking in the Data Entry field is a great way to supplement your income.
