Position Overview:
Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant with strong expertise in budgeting, financial planning, and cost analysis to join our remote team. This role is crucial in helping us manage our financial health, optimize operational efficiency, and support smart, data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and analyze annual budgets and monthly forecasts

• Monitor budget performance and identify variances with recommendations for corrective actions

• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

• Track and manage cost of goods sold (COGS), vendor payments, and inventory accounting

• Assist in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and margin analysis

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations

• Coordinate with external CPA or tax consultants for annual filings

• Continuously refine and improve financial processes and controls

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial analysis (experience in distribution or chemicals a plus)

• Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel, and cloud-based accounting tools

• Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and cost control

• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with inventory systems or ERP platforms

• CPA or CMA certification

• Prior experience with remote or startup companies
