Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Special Education
• LBS1 certified in Illinois

Role Overview:
As a Special Education Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans that help them thrive both academically and emotionally. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.

Job Details:

• Dates: immediate need - June 5, 2026
• Hours: 7:55a - 2:55p daily with a 30 minute duty free lunch; some Mondays until 3:55p
• Setting:  Self-Contained Life Skills Classroom; K-1st Grade
• In-person  

Key Responsibilities:   

• Lead classroom activities based on individual student needs
• Deliver direct instruction curriculum in individualized and small group settings
• Manage schedules of all students in the classroom for inclusion time in their general education classroom
• Implement behavior intervention plans and manage classroom behaviors for effective classroom organization and participation
• Collaborate with related service providers to implement accommodations, modifications, and goal work throughout the week
• Manage classroom Educational Support Professional schedules and direct them in their work with the students of their students
