As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and managing access points, conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned areas, and helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will interact with a diverse group of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to inquiries or incidents. This position requires you to drive as part of your duties, allowing you to support the team across different areas of the location. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points within the healthcare location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with directions and general inquiries related to access control.
• Respond to incidents and security-related situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report access control activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal personnel to address security-related concerns and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas within the location to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential security-related risks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
