ROLE: Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper

SALARY: $50-100K DOE

LOCATION: St. Petersburg, FL

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to manage our companys financial records and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting and extensive experience with QuickBooks. This role requires strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to maintain the integrity of our financial data.

• Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with accounting regulations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Provide support during audits and liaise with auditors as needed
• Develop and implement bookkeeping policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
• Train and mentor junior bookkeeping staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of public accounting principles
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
