Join Us as a Senior Contracts Manager Shape the Legal Backbone of Pearson VUE

Are you a skilled legal professional with a passion for contracts, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration? Pearson VUE is looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our dynamic legal team. In this pivotal role, youll work closely with internal stakeholders, external clients, vendors, and third parties to ensure the successful execution of contracts that drive our business forward.

Youll be at the heart of our legal operationsnegotiating high-impact agreements for our Certiport and e-commerce businesses, supporting professional clients, and safeguarding the legal interests of NCS Pearson and Pearson VUE.

What Youll Do

Contract Strategy & Execution

• Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of customer, vendor, software, and technology agreements.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards while identifying and mitigating risks.
• Collaborate across departments to gather information and prepare legal documents.
• Monitor business practices to ensure contract and legal compliance.
• Stay current on legal developments and apply them to evolving business needs.

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior legal and functional leaders.
• Manage relationships with internal clients and external counsel.
• Communicate clearly and effectively during contract negotiations and legal discussions.

Legal Projects & Research

• Support legal research initiatives and contribute to projects in emerging areas of law.
• Maintain and organize legal documents, agreements, and templates.

What You Bring

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk analysis.
• Strong multitasking abilities and experience coordinating across departments.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with technology-related agreements, licensing, and government contracting processes.
• A practical understanding of legal compliance and corporate legal policies.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate preferred, or equivalent experience in contract administration and legal support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal document formatting.
• Experience reviewing contracts, statements of work, amendments, and legal correspondence.

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

The minimum full-time salary range is between $85,000 - $90,000.

This position is eligible to participate in an annual incentive program, and information on benefits offered is here.
