Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Coordinating and executing the annual audit process with external auditors, including the preparation and review of audit schedules.

3. Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.

4. Preparing and analyzing financial reports, highlighting key trends and variances to senior management.

5. Assisting in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial input and advice to various departments.

6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency.

7. Participating in cross-functional projects and initiatives, providing financial expertise and insight.

8. Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the retail or manufacturing industry.

3. Proven experience in conducting external audits and implementing internal controls.

4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.

5. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.

6. Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

8. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes in priorities.

9. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing a team.

10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
