Our Merchant team is seeking a talented, versatile Senior Merchant to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate command of assortment planning, strategic pricing, competitive market analysis, strong cross-functional leadership skills, exceptional analytical skills, and a track record of success in driving positive and continuous improvement within the organization.
In This Role - Partner with Product Development in creating brand assortment line plan and execution of product strategy
- Analyze data to identify profit growth opportunities and drive sales in new or existing categories
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges
- Strategize and collaborate with Marketing on future promotional plans
- Develop markdown strategies for end-of-life product
- Work with Planning team on setting initial forecasts and issuing first production run purchase orders for new product
- Assist with establishing product pricing and creating strategy to maximize margin
- Provide Planning team with support in buying and forecasting
- Own weekly and monthly metric reporting recaps and provide management team with key findings
- Perform ad-hoc analysis based on historical sales performance and product attributes
- Partner with Country Managers and international team to support vendor capacity planning
- Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements
- Ensure data integrity

The Ideal Person - 5+ years of retail planning, buying or equivalent analytical experience (furniture industry experience highly preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required
- Bachelors Degree in Merchandising or related field Required
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized and motivated individual with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to influence cross-functionally
