Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher is needed for a K-12 school setting in Dover, NH, to support students with diverse learning needs. This full-time contract position spans the entire school year and requires working 35 hours per week. The role primarily involves managing a resource classroom with some push-in support within general education classrooms. There is also potential involvement with a life skills program, which may be combined with resource room responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Behavior Disorders (BD), Learning Disabilities (LD), and life skills needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to offer push-in support within the inclusive classroom environment.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and staff.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to educational planning.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification for K-12.
• Experience teaching students with moderate disabilities in resource or self-contained classrooms.
• Ability to work with diverse disabilities and adapt instruction accordingly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment.
