Project Manager/ Senior Scrum Master – Direct Hire

ON SITE in Springfield, MO.

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager/Senior Scrum Master to lead cross-functional Agile development teams, with a strong focus on Azure DevOps projects . The ideal candidate will be skilled in applying Scrum Framework principles and tools, and will have demonstrated experience in driving project success through leadership and collaboration.

In this leadership role, you'll lead by example , working alongside the team on critical projects while also ensuring smooth Scrum project execution by identifying and eliminating obstacles. You’ll manage key Scrum ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives , guiding the team through both simple and highly complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Scrum teams to enhance collaboration, self-management, and healthy interactions within the team and with external stakeholders.
• Partner with Project Sponsors and stakeholders to provide transparent updates on project progress, challenges, and risks.
• Represent the team in broader planning and coordination meetings, such as Scrum of Scrums .
• Mentor Junior Scrum Masters and occasionally serve as an Agile Coach for simple to moderately complex teams.
• Support the team in leveraging Azure DevOps and other Agile tools to manage planning and development processes.
• Participate in internal Centers of Excellence and communities of practice to continuously develop skills and improve team support.
• Utilize feedback and metrics (quality, delivery cadence, etc.) to identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous process enhancements.
• Contribute to advancing Agile practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices, frameworks, and techniques .
• 6+ years of experience leading Agile projects.
• A-CSM or PSM II , with SAFe SM certification (or ability to obtain within six months).
• Proven success managing mid- to large-scale projects with complex scopes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
• Bachelor's degree .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in managing projects with Azure DevOps .
• Experience leading large-scale Agile projects involving multiple Scrum teams or release trains.
• SAFe Scrum Master Certification .
• Familiarity with traditional project management methodologies.
• Experience in Financial Services and/or Insurance industries is a plus.
