Job Description

This role is ideal for a systems level design thinker who can operate independently with multiple stakeholders, tackle complex workflows, contribute to a collaborative and rigorous design culture.

In this role, you will:

- Be a critical thinker, partnering across multiple product teams, and making connections between products.
- Evolve design partnerships to move upstream. Our leadership partners value early design involvement, and there are many opportunities to contribute to early stage ideation.
- Dive deep to understand customer needs and product capabilities.
- Lead the design of core and foundational AWS services.
- Join a rich design culture, with cross team opportunities – participate in reviews, continue to flex and grow design skills.
- Develop and execute on research plans to identify gaps, and prioritize new features.

The Windows & Linux Platform and Modernization team helps large and medium sized enterprises run seamlessly in the cloud by providing tools to help them modernize and migrate their application portfolios, manage their software assets, and monitor their applications with powerful insights. The tools are evolving by automating laborious processes, building new game-changing platforms, and pushing the boundaries of predictive technology. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Customer Experience (CX) team is seeking a talented and passionate senior user experience designer to join our growing design and research studio.

In your day to day, you will partner with product and engineering stakeholders to tackle the challenging design problems that come with an ever-evolving, complex product ecosystem. In this role, you will have access to AWS product leadership who are invested in providing great experiences for our customers.

Things you should know about the AWS CX team:
- Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and we host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our 14 Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.
- We care about your career growth too. Once you join the team, you and your manager will jointly craft a career plan and you'll review it regularly to ensure you're on track to meet your goals. Whether your goals are to explore new technologies, take on bigger opportunities, or get to the next level, we'll help you get there. Our business is growing fast and our people will grow with it.
- Lastly, our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.
