We are seeking skilled Ironworkers with welding preferably certified in 3G and 4G, with experience for a commercial construction project in Hutto, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various tools and equipment in the construction industry.

Duties:

- Assemble and erect steel framework and other metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine layout and installation procedures
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, bend, and straighten metal
- Weld or bolt sections together to form complete structures
- Align and position structural parts using hoists or other lifting equipment
- Verify alignment and specifications of structures

Key Responsibilities

• Reading Blueprints and Specifications: Ironworkers interpret technical drawings to understand project requirements and the placement of materials.
• Structural Erection: They raise, position, and connect steel columns, beams, and girders to form the building's skeleton.
• Fabrication and Installation: Ironworkers measure, cut, and shape metal components to fit specific project needs.
• Connection: They use bolts, wires, or welding to secure steel members into place.
• Reinforcing: In their reinforcing role, they position and secure steel bars (rebar) within concrete forms to strengthen structures.
• Ornamental Work: This can involve fabricating and installing non-structural metal elements like stairs, handrails, and decorative pieces.
• Equipment Operation: They operate heavy machinery such as cranes, hoists, and forklifts, and must provide signals for crane operators to properly position components.
• Safety Compliance: Adherence to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of fall protection equipment, is essential for this physically demanding and high-risk job.
