Get valuable business experience for your resume! Harper College's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is looking for a student to assist a team of six business consultants with general office support. The SBDC team works with startup and established small businesses in the Harper community in the areas of finance, strategy, marketing, management, etc.

Responsibilities

• Assists with SBDC client appointment calendar updates

• Assists with data entry

• Reviews new client applications

• Answers phones & general office email as appropriate

• Assists clients with general information about the SBDC and its programs and services

• Assists clients with the scheduling of appointments with advisors using scheduling software

• Sends webinar evaluation survey emails

• Files documents in Teams

• Completes other duties as assigned
• Hours per Week: 8-10

Qualifications

*Education Requirements: In order to apply for this position, you must be a current Harper College student, enrolled in at least six credits per semester (three for summer)

*Experience Requirements: Student employees must have strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, cultural awareness and sensitivity and the ability to complete a broad range of responsibilities/projects

*Employment is contingent upon a Criminal Background Check for some positions
