Tax & Staff Accountant to join a growing organization in Bolingbrook, IL. This
Tax & Staff Accountant will support tax reporting, general ledger activity and payroll-related accounting. What's the job?- Prepare, post and reconcile payroll-related journal entries for monthly and year-end reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts tied to payroll, benefits and employee-related transactions
- Manage intercompany processing, including month-end close, preparing statements and issuing shared services invoices
- Generate audit support documentation
- Process monthly general ledger accruals, including recurring and non-recurring expenses
- Review and update monthly FTE reporting with the Payroll team
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and support the closing process
- Prepare and submit U.S. and Canadian sales tax returns monthly/quarterly
- Coordinate with external tax providers regarding corporate tax payments and required documentation
- Gather and organize financial information for sales prequalification packages and annual renewals
- Support ad hoc projects, system improvements and compliance initiatives
What's needed?- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative, onsite environment
