We're looking for a dedicated Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to join our team remotely and work with a school district near Concord, California. Position Details:
Start Date: Immediate hiring for the upcoming school year
Location: 100% remote (work from home!)
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Caseload: 40-50 students with hearing impairments, across various age groups
Responsibilities:
Support students in developing communication skills, including augmentative and alternative communication methods
Collaborate with special educators to create engaging and effective learning experiences
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with long- and short-term goals tailored to each student
Assess and evaluate students' needs to provide appropriate interventions
Deliver teletherapy services to ensure students receive the support they need
Qualifications:
Active California TDHH license (required)
1 year of experience preferred, but new professionals are welcome to apply!
Proficiency in sign language (ASL or other relevant methods)
