Job Title: Telecommunications Lab Project Manager

Location: Richardson, Texas

Duration: Full time

Pay : $40-60/hr

Job Description: Fiber Optic Lab Manager is responsible for provisioning, commissioning and setup of various OEM Telecommunication equipment (Infinera, Ciena, Nokia, Coriant) in a test lab environment. Job duties as follows:

1. Performing limited / light GR-1275 / TP76300 based Installation tasks such as PDU installation, shelf mounting, grounding, alarm and interbay cable connections, power lug crimping / connections, fiber jumper installation, cleaning, scoping, power verification.

2. DWDM Testing / configuration of the OEM equipment. Using test equipment for basic configuration (laptop - IP addressing & setup, Optical Power Meter, OTDR, etc.) Working remotely with OEM and / or carrier NOC teams for connectivity to system and handoff for more detailed network provisioning and configuration.

3. Basic oversight of lab equipment - Inventory management, Spares tracking, RMA processing, housekeeping.

4. Communication skills - Primary point of contact in the Richardson lab for clients. Work with the clients and internal project management regarding equipment configuration needs and general technical support issues that may arise.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
