Purpose

For 2025 Season:
The City of Wenatchee hires between 20 to 30 temporary lifeguard/swim instructors, cashiers and other support staff for the City pool during the summer months. Lifeguard/Swim Instructors must have current lifeguard, first aid and CPR certifications, with special consideration given to certified Water Safety Instructors.

The City of Wenatchee has adopted a policy that measures the 'full-time' status of temporary employees over 12-months for purposes of benefit eligibility. Therefore, seasonal employees with temporary assignments of less than 6-months are not eligible for any benefits with the exception of participation in the Washington State Department of Retirement System (DRS). There will be no retroactivity applied to benefits or any other employment terms and conditions should regular employment be offered at a future date. City of Wenatchee, WA
