Senior QA Analyst (Test Analyst II)
Long Term Contract - 12 months with option for extension
Location: Kansas City, Kansas (Lenexa)
Hybrid Remote: 3 days onsite per week, 2 remote
Senior QA Engineer
Seeking a Senior QA Engineer with strong manual and automated testing expertise to enhance our quality assurance process. Ideal candidates are skilled in precise communication, detail-oriented, and capable of effectively documenting and breaking down complex processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute both manual and automated test cases to cover new functionality and regression testing.
- Conduct backend, API, and integration testing, including ad-hoc and exploratory efforts as required.
- Establish and advocate for best practices in test automation.
- Create, manage, and utilize test data for automation tasks.
- Collaborate closely with developers and business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing clear documentation of test results.
- Oversee testing phases, ensuring alignment with project timelines and Agile methodologies.
- Maintain high standards across all deliverables: software, test cases, automation plans, and documentation.
- Proactively assess existing features and cases, suggesting new or modified tests for comprehensive coverage.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in software QA, with a minimum of 3 years using tools like SoapUI, Postman, or similar for API testing.
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML, and SQL for database management (Oracle or SQL Server).
- In-depth knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and structured testing concepts.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities with a self-motivated, results-driven approach.
- Familiarity with eCommerce applications and payment processing rules (preferred).
- Experience in hardware or POS device testing (preferred).
**Tools and Platforms:** Testrail (testing), Jira (bug tracking), and other proprietary technology.
