Safety and Compliance:
- Conduct safety trainings and refreshers for staff.
- Monitor and review camera footage to ensure safe driving behavior. Investigate accidents and incidents involving staff or students.
- Administer drug testing procedures (pre-employment, random, and reasonable suspicion).
- Ensure compliance with student safety procedures during transport.
- Address and report student misconduct during transportation.
- Complete and review daily pre-trip inspections, including those submitted by other staff.
- Ensure driver files are up to date and notify staff of required documentation or expirations.
- Maintain accurate ridership records for all students assigned to route sheets.
Operational Support:
- Dispatch duties, including: Answering CB radio.
- Handling accidents and conduct reports.
- Communicating with CST, school districts, customers, and internal staff via phone, email, or radio.Support route management: Daily scheduling and adjustments.
- Reviewing, verifying, and clearing route boards and tier assignments.
- Keeping updated copies of routes and answering route-related questions.
- Submit and maintain student ride tracking logs.
- Notify staff of schedule changes or updates.
Transportation and Coverage:
- Serve as a second adult or driver as needed to support transportation and delivery duties.
- Ensure the safe and timely transport of students to and from school.
- Deliver and pick up items, food, or paperwork between businesses, schools, and co-workers.
Administrative Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, school districts, and coworkers.
- Organize office files, emails, and paperwork as needed.
- Assist management with special projects or tasks as directed.
- Maintain and update employee timecards, including edits and corrections.
- Review documents completed by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Complete end-of-day office close-up procedures when required.
- Address staffing concerns and engage in necessary conversations to resolve personnel issues.
Vehicle and Facility Maintenance:
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance (e.g., replacing headlights).
- Schedule vehicle service appointments and coordinate repairs.
- Support upkeep of parking lot and garage areas, including: Shoveling, sweeping, sanding, salting, and debris removal.
General Expectations:
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers via phone, text, and email.
- Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
- Demonstrate the ability to read and comprehend basic English (e.g., route sheets).
- Exhibit proficiency in verbal English communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
