The Transporter will provide transportation to and from the system's Community Services facilities and into the community for clientele participating in provided programs. S/he will transport persons served to and from their homes or appointments in the community as arranged. S/he will coordinate all transportation of persons served with the Transportation Supervisor. The position offers a workplace culture cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and promoting healthy, joyful workforce engagement. Key responsibilities include representing the system Community Services positively to clients, staff, and community members; advocating for clients; treating all persons served and others with dignity and respect; preparing daily transportation routes using internet mapping; recording all persons picked up; documenting client no-shows; ensuring vehicle safety by performing safety checks; attending required training; adhering to HIPAA requirements; assisting the Transportation Supervisor; serving on the Health & Safety First Responder Team; providing transportation as scheduled; and assisting with office duties when not transporting. Knowledge, skills, and abilities required include professional communication, positive role modeling, strong time management, driving ability and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge, and maintaining a positive attitude. Experience and education requirements include a High School Diploma or GED. Employment requirements include successful background checks, new hire orientation, training completion, a current driver's license with acceptable record and insurance, Missouri Class E license, and certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens. Physical requirements are sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds and repetitive hand movements.
