Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technician with at least 1 year of experience and current ARRT and NJ State RT licensure for a hospital-based role.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Hospital-based radiology department
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with every other weekend and call coverage required
• Patient populations typically include adults and geriatrics
• Duties involve operating a variety of imaging equipment and performing diagnostic x-ray procedures
• EMR system used is Epic
• Travelers may float to a nearby sister hospital
• Perform imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain equipment, monitor and revise procedures as needed, and ensure patient safety and comfort
• May be required to float to sister facility as needed
• Every other weekend and call coverage is required
• Assignments can last up to one year; candidates must take a 30-60 day break before any new assignment at the facility

\n \n Requirements\n

• Graduate of an accredited radiography school
• Active NJ State Radiologic Technologist License (license required if applicable)
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• 1-3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician
• Proficiency in using, setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining imaging equipment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must live at least 50 miles from facility; local candidates are not accepted
