A well-known educational institution in Goleta, CA is seeking a temporary Academic Advisor to join their team during the busy season! This role involves assisting students in course selection, degree planning, and navigating university policies to ensure academic success and timely graduation.

Pay: $30-$33 an hour
Location: On-site in Goleta, CA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Duration: Temporary – 6 months, could go longer

Job Duties:
Provide individualized academic advising to undergraduate students, assisting with course selection, degree planning, and registration.
Interpret and communicate university policies, academic requirements, and graduation criteria.
Monitor student progress, identify potential academic difficulties, and provide appropriate interventions or referrals.
Assist students in developing educational and career goals aligned with their interests and abilities.
Conduct workshops and information sessions on academic planning, study skills, and university policies.

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Counseling, or related field.
-3+ years of experience in academic advising, student affairs, or higher education.
