We are representing a client that is searching for an experienced and dedicated VP of Accounting & Finance to lead our clients financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing general accounting functions, preparing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and lender reporting requirements, and managing the annual audit process. The ideal candidate will also provide strategic insights to drive operational efficiency, support scalability, and lead the planning and execution of the annual budget and forecasting processes.

Job Details

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the finance and accounting team, ensuring effective operations
• Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, projects, and ad hoc needs
• Direct the preparation and monthly review of financial statements to support operational decision-making
• Oversee the annual budget process, including establishing timelines and partnering with management to develop operational budgets by location
• Assist with audit preparations and respond to related inquiries
• Maintain and enhance financial models for budget variance analysis and reporting
• Develop and mentor team members, identifying skill gaps and coordinating necessary training
• Establish and manage a reliable cash flow projection and reporting system
• Ensure that financial strategies support overall business goals

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience as a VP of Accounting & Finance or similar executive finance role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial benchmarking, audit and tax compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Expertise in fiscal management, resource planning, and performance evaluation
• Ability to partner with executive leadership to set and achieve financial goals
• Understanding of federal and multi-state tax laws and core accounting principles
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
