Responsibilities:   

• Responsible for designing, creating, testing and maintaining web sites and content that enrich and optimize the exchange of information and produce effective communications between our customers
• Interact with team to gather and define requirements. 
• Analyze requirements to determine the most effective web technologies to satisfy their needs. 
• Coordinate creation and collection of necessary technology components and integrate them into a coherent site design. 
• Follow a formal design process that includes adhering to laws, standards, and established guidelines for development and delivery of the web site end product. 
• Design and develop visually-pleasing, content rich, user-friendly interfaces with intuitive navigation. 
• Deliver comprehensive website solutions to satisfy customer requirements. 
• Maintain configuration management.
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications:   

• Twelve (12) years of experience as a WD and SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted without a qualifying bachelor’s degree in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity or eight (8) years with a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college. 
• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph. Candidates with Conditional Clearances (CCAs) are not eligible. 
• Proven ability to maintain and enhance user-accessible websites and web-based applications with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and usability. 
• Skilled in web development using HTML, Visual Basic, Java, CGI, and XML, with experience creating intuitive UI elements, animations, special effects, and e-business solutions. 
• Experienced in developing and deploying high-performance applications using AWS Lambda (Python 3.11), API Gateway with Lambda Authorizer, and Step Functions. 
• Proficient in using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Solid experience with AWS services, including RDS Aurora PostgreSQL, S3 with presigned URLs, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB (as a user cache), and CloudWatch for monitoring and logging. 
• Skilled in using Docker for containerized application development and deployment. 
• Familiar with Poetry for Python dependency management and Makefile for build automation. 
• Competent in using pgAdmin for PostgreSQL database administration and query optimization. 
• Adept at writing and maintaining technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and compliance. 
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex software issues using modern tools and techniques. 
• Experienced in independently managing complex web development projects and integrating new web products with existing systems to enhance performance and user experience. 
• Collaborative team player who works closely with management and IT professionals to define specifications, ensure quality, and deliver solutions that meet customer and organizational goals. 
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills 

Working Environment:  

This position is 100% in-person in Annapolis Junction, MD; remote or hybrid work is not available.
