About Us:
Urban Space Entertainment specializes in creating unforgettable moments at weddings and events. We are seeking a talented Wedding DJ with their own equipment to join our team and help us bring exceptional music and entertainment to our clients' special days.
Position Overview:
As a Wedding DJ, you will be responsible for providing high-quality musical entertainment during weddings. You will work closely with the couple and event planners to curate the perfect playlist, set the mood, and ensure a lively and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with couples to understand their musical preferences, special requests, and overall vision for their wedding entertainment.
- Prepare and curate playlists that align with the event flow, including ceremony music, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing.
- Operate DJ equipment to deliver high-quality audio and lighting throughout the event.
- Engage with guests to create a fun and vibrant atmosphere, including announcing key moments and facilitating dances.
- Set up and dismantle DJ equipment before and after events, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
- Arrive punctually and be prepared to adapt to any changes in schedule or requests from the couple or wedding planner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DJ, preferably in wedding or event settings.
- Own professional DJ equipment, including mixers, speakers, microphones, and lighting.
- Strong understanding of various music genres and trends.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to read the crowd and adjust the music accordingly to maintain an energetic vibe.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and potentially travel to event locations.
