Job Description

Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a Yard Driver to join their team. As a Yard Driver, you will be part of the operations team supporting daily yard activities. The ideal candidate will have strong teamwork skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Yard Driver

Location: Jacksonville, FL, Northside

Pay Range: $21-23 per hour

What's the Job?

• Safely operate yard tractors and other vehicles to move trailers and containers within the facility.
• Position trailers accurately for loading, unloading, and maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily inspections of yard equipment and report any issues promptly.
• Assist mechanics with basic repair and maintenance tasks, including tire changes and fluid checks.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard, ensuring clear pathways for vehicle movement.

What's Needed?

• 3-4 years of experience moving and repairing containers, chassis, or trailers.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, brake and air systems, and DOT/PM inspections preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work productively under strict deadlines.
• Valid driver's license required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is desirable but not mandatory.
