Art Teacher (K-12)

Base pay range: $50,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking Art Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year at private and independent schools in Boston, MA and nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Studio Art (Drawing, Painting, Printmaking)
• Sculpture
• Fiber arts
• Ceramics
• Design and implement curriculum and lesson plans that build the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively teach students at the assigned grade level.
• Create lessons that build an excitement for art.
• Use a variety of different materials and art styles to diversify student experiences in art making.
• Evaluate each students progress in their knowledge and skills.
• Communicate with parents to discuss the individual students progress.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences, and professional development sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required; masters degree preferred in an art field.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the K-12 level preferred.
• Passion for visual art, art history, and the fine arts.
• Knowledge of varied teaching strategies to differentiate learning.
• Eager to work collaboratively with other teachers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

Additional Desired Qualities

• Willingness to work with middle or high school students.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
