Job Summary The Associate Pastor (AP) of Expansion serves Union Church by providing strategic leadership and oversight by maintaining all Union infrastructure and facilities under the direction of the Executive Pastor of Central Operations. This role is also very pastoral in nature and will be best suited for a very mature individual who has experience supervising and leading large teams, managing day-to-day operations, scaling small business strategies, and overseeing complex processes from a managerial standpoint. The individual will also be responsible for overseeing all efforts that ensure campus launches from inception to completion are completed in an excellent and timely manner. They will also ensure we have up-to-date state-of-the-art facilities including meeting modern real estate development needs. A background and prior experience in supporting multiple projects with competing priorities, acquisitions & mergers, regional planning, location scouting, and emergency response planning will also be valued. This individual will also assist in providing business administration support to their Executive Pastor according to the systems and operations of Union Church.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Executive Pastor of Operations by creating, improving, and scaling all buildings, vehicles, and Union Church brick & mortar assets.

Campus Expansion

  • Work directly with the Executive Pastor to explore locations for future campuses of Union Church
  • Network with key people and organizations who will be key parts of acquiring space and meeting needs for expansion of Union Church
  • Oversee Portable Campus logistics for Sunday Morning Experiences
  • Work closely with the Campus Pastor and campus teams of portable campuses to facilitate a seamless Sunday Experience for the congregation

Facilities Management

  • Assist in the organization and leading of facilities management logistics including but not limited to inventory, facility repairs, facility upgrades, and construction needs in all buildings.
  • Serves as a point of contact for vendorsand contractors
  • Assist in tracking, organizing and review of leases and contracts to ensure accuracy and stewardship of resources of Union Church.
  • Oversee general maintenance and renovations and projects of all UNIONfacilities
  • Complete all prep work and research on pricing, materials, etc. for all requested projects
  • Work with Central Operations team, Campus teams to ensure buildings are safe, clean, functional and ready for use
  • Complete and track regular walkthroughs of all Union Church facilities and prepare reports of all repairs pending or in process, future, etc.
  • Provide leadership andsupportto employees tasked with management of facilities including repairs, maintenance,etc.
  • Ensure facilities are maintained according to state and local safetycodes
  • Provide leadership and support to employees tasked with facilityrentals

Vehicles

  • Create and implement a system for routine care, cleaning, maintenance and repairs of all vehicles owned by Union Church
  • Assist in logistics of vehicle maintenance including but not limited to regular assessment of vehicle safety, maintenance of proper insurance documentation available in vehicles
  • Assist in implementation and enforcing vehicle transportation policies and procedures for all staff and volunteers who use vehicles
  • Conduct annual trainings or as needed for vehicle safety and accident reporting to staff and volunteers
  • Assist in purchase and delivery of any vehicles to and for Union Church

Department Administration

  • Forecast departmentalspending
  • Manage expenses and income from department in accordance with Union financialsystems
  • Follow and adhere to all Union Church data management policies and procedures.
  • Maintainelectronicfiling systems for data management of contracts and other critical Union Church documents to ensure easy access to importantrecords.

Care

  • Provide care to volunteer teams to celebrate birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other major life events such as new home ownership, birth of a baby, etc. for staff asneeded

Personal Development

  • Attend and participate in bi-weekly one-on-one update/coaching/discussion with ExecutivePastor of Operations
  • Attend and participate in regular Central Operations departmental meetings
  • Cultivate healthy relationships with allcoworkers

General

  • Be available and responsive to other duties as they arise. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Job Complexity

  • Minimum 3 years ofexperience in Construction Management
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Business Administration or related field
  • Real-estate experience
  • General knowledge of commercial real estate
  • Negotiation skills and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in large and smallsettings
  • Experience in problemsolving
  • Ability to handle multiple projectseffectively
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Can effectively build and maintain healthyteams
  • Experience in leading teams, services, as well as people

Union Church offers a generous compensation package. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience. In addition to the total compensation package, Union Church staff receive medical, dental, and vision insurance, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off (PTO), and paid holiday days.
