CNC Operator

Edmonton, Alberta

Job Description and Responsibilities

Work in a safe manner in Operation of the CNC Lathe to produce Premium Coupling within specification. Perform regular maintenance of equipment.
  • Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
  • Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • Fit and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Repair machine tools and parts
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
  • Performs other duties as they might be assigned

Requirements
  • Grade 12 minimum
  • Computer numerical control (CNC) machines operation experience preferred, but not required
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • Read and Understand API 5CT specifications

$30.26/hour
