Data Analyst (Part-Time, Remote) at Mimecast. We are seeking a Part-Time Data Analyst (Remote) who is passionate about making sense of complex data and transforming it into actionable insights. This is a collaborative, forward-thinking role where your contributions will impact business operations, customer experience, and strategic growth.

What Youll Do

• Collect, clean, and validate datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Use tools like SQL, Excel, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to analyze trends and performance metrics.
• Build and maintain dashboards that track KPIs for business units such as product, marketing, sales, and customer success.
• Translate raw data into clear reports and visualizations that non-technical stakeholders can easily understand.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvement.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis to support leadership decisions and ongoing projects.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for a data enthusiast who enjoys problem-solving, storytelling with numbers, and delivering insights that matter. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and able to thrive in a remote, flexible work environment.

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and at least one data visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbalfor presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a part-time schedule.
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality practices, or experience within SaaS/cybersecurity industries is a plus (but not required).
