Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a manufacturing company find a Facilities Manager role in the Cleveland area.

The Manager of Facilities and Warehouse oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of the company’s facilities and warehouse. This role ensures efficient inventory management, optimal space utilization, and safety and regulatory standards. The manager leads a warehouse, facility, and custodial staff team to support business operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Facilities Management:

1. Oversee maintenance, repair, and improvement of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.).
2. Coordinate with outside contractors and service vendors for preventative maintenance, repairs, renovations, and other facility-related services.
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
4. Manage building security with the fire and security monitoring company and security contractor for access control systems.
5. Oversee the cleanliness and stocking of custodial supplies to maintain the facility per company standards.

Warehouse Management:

1. Supervise warehouse staff and ensure efficient inventory management and order fulfillment.
2. Implement best practices for inventory control, reducing discrepancies and optimizing storage.
3. Ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety, OSHA, FDA, ISO, DOT, and all other regulatory and company policies.
4. Oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of raw materials, components, and finished goods per SOPs, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
5. Maintain stock records and reconcile with the ERP system.
6. Negotiate small parcel and freight contracts with carriers to ensure the lowest transportation charges.

Background/Training/Skills/Experience

• 5-7 years of construction/building maintenance and/or warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of cGMP, ISO, DOT, FDA, and OSHA requirements would be beneficial but not required.
• Hazardous shipping experience preferred.
• Certification/experience operating powered industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and material handling.
• Familiarity with international shipping requirements.
• Proficiency in using logistics software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly capable of prioritizing, organizing, and delegating assignments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills.
• Flexibility to deal with issues at the necessary level: functional or managerial.
• Must be highly organized, accurate, and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems (IQMS preferred).
