Key Objectives of the Role:

Monitor Financial Performance: Analyze datasets against projections to ensure financial health.
Enhance Business Insights: Utilize thorough analyses to develop actionable insights that drive performance, focusing on trend identification and variance monitoring.
Forecasting & Growth: Create forecasting models based on comparative metrics and implement enhancements as the business evolves.
Strategic Cost Management: Develop compelling business cases to support pricing strategies and identify innovative cost reduction opportunities.
Cost Analysis Leadership: Establish and guide effective cost analysis practices using updated policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate directly with the VP of Finance on various planning initiatives, including forecasting, budgeting, profitability analysis, and reporting.
Assist in the monthly close process by analyzing trends and variances related to revenue, ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation.
Develop and maintain secure databases to monitor business performance, providing valuable insights into risks and opportunities for managers.
Coordinate requirements for efficient and automated accounting processes to enhance productivity and ensure reliable data backups.
Uphold high standards by consolidating quarterly reporting packages and conducting thorough internal financial analyses.
Commit to personal growth by engaging in networking, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Financial Analyst.
Proficiency in financial software and analytical tools.
Strong knowledge of statistical analysis processes and methodologies.
Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in finance or a related field.
Experience in financial forecasting and trend analysis.
Familiarity with revenue recognition software, as well as NetSuite and Salesforce.
Understanding of accounting, tax, and e-commerce legislation.
Experience in a corporate finance setting.
Demonstrated ability in financial planning and strategy.
