JOB SUMMARY
The Room Attendant & Public Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, comfort, and satisfaction of guests by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of both guest rooms and public areas throughout the hotel. This dual role plays a crucial part in providing a positive guest experience and upholding the hotel's standards of cleanliness and service excellence.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including lobbies, corridors, hotel fitness center, and restrooms.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, and dust public spaces to ensure cleanliness and a welcoming atmosphere.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons.
• Arrange and replenish furniture and decor in public areas to maintain an orderly appearance.
• Monitor and report any maintenance or repair issues in public spaces.
• Restock supplies, including toiletries and cleaning materials, in public restrooms.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of special events and functions held in public areas.
• Clean and prepare guest rooms to hotel standards, including making beds, changing linens, and dusting.
• Vacuum, mop, and sanitize floors in guest rooms.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, fixtures, and surfaces in guest rooms.
• Replace amenities, towels, and linens as needed in guest rooms.
• Report any maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Greet guests with a friendly and courteous demeanor when encountered.
• Respond promptly to guest requests related to guest rooms and ensure their comfort during their stay.
• Report lost and found items in guest rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and amenities in the housekeeping cart.
• Report low inventory levels to the Housekeeping Supervisor for replenishment.
• Ensure that each guest room and public area is properly cleaned, organized, and free of any discrepancies.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and adherence to standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and perform cleaning tasks
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
