smartdept. is searching for a Junior Graphic Designer   for an ad agency client located in Chicago, IL . The ideal candidate will come with 1-2 years of experience. This is a  full-time ,  fully remote , direct-hire opportunity. 

What You’ll Do:  

• Assist in the creation of visual designs for print and digital media, including brochures, social media graphics, banners, and web content.
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and execute design projects from initial ideas to final production.
• Maintain brand consistency across all design materials and ensure quality and accuracy in all deliverables.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to projects.
• Help manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends and design software to enhance skills and creativity.

What You’ll Need:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout.
• Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
• A portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects. 
• Prior agency experience preferred
