Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

-Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including psychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and diagnostic interviews.
- Develop treatment plans based on patients' mental health needs and update plans as needed.

 
-Counseling and Therapy:
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling to address mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and culturally sensitive approaches in counseling sessions.
- Engage patients in therapeutic interventions that promote wellness, recovery, and personal growth.

 
-Case Management and Collaboration:
- Work with medical providers, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support for patients.
- Advocate for patients' needs, referring them to additional resources and support services as appropriate.
- Provide crisis intervention services and connect patients to emergency mental health resources when necessary.

 
-Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with FQHC policies, HIPAA, and state regulations.
- Document all interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Complete reports and other documentation required by state licensing boards and funding agencies. 

Education Requirements (Any)
Master's degree in Social Work
counseling or psychology AND LCSW License with the Kentucky Board of Social Work .
Bachelor's degree in Psychology
Social Work
Sociology
Public Health
or related field
